I began doing CrossFit in the summer of 2013. I was looking for more ways to increase my fitness while also working for Galveston Island Beach Patrol which required us to do daily workouts before reporting for duty. I quickly fell in love with CrossFit and continued to do it while I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where I received my Bachelors Degree in Construction Science. Intensity and the constantly varied workouts is what drew me into CrossFit so quickly. It brings out the best in you as you challenge yourself to dig deep and find your inner strength.
I am currently working full time as a Project Manager for a home builder here in Galveston and really enjoy what I do. I’m a die hard Patriot through and through who loves his country and loves everything this beautiful nation we call home stands for. The freedoms we are afforded here is what makes America so great and I’m so proud to call it home. Which brings up a great point with respect to Flying Fortress CrossFit. We wear our RED shirts every Friday to Remember Everyone Deployed, do hero workouts almost once a week to remember our fallen heroes, and our gym is themed to remind us each time we are working out that some gave all so we may enjoy our freedoms we hold so dear.
I really wanted to become a coach and get involved at this beautiful gym. I wanted to bring in even more good and high energy to help create the environment we all love about FFCF!! As a coach here my goal is to help you with the fundamentals of CrossFit and also help you live a happier and healthier life. If you’re having a bad day I want to be the silver lining for you that helps turn your day around through fun and fitness. I’m always available to talk CrossFit or life, no question is a bad question, and learn something new everyday because that is what life is all about!
